Government and Public Authority Requests

This page explains how Pospo handles requests from government agencies, regulators, courts, and law-enforcement authorities for information that Pospo holds. The official URL for this page is https://pospo.ai/government-requests.

Scope

This policy applies only to information held by Pospo. Pospo cannot provide data that Facebook, Instagram, or Threads holds independently. A requester seeking data held by Meta or another connected platform should direct its request to that platform.

Validation and legal review

Before disclosing information, Pospo verifies the identity and authority of the requester and reviews the jurisdiction, legal basis, scope, subject, time period, and requested data categories. Pospo does not disclose information solely because it receives an informal request.

The form of legal process required depends on the request and applicable law. Pospo may ask for additional information needed to evaluate whether a request is valid and properly served.

Improper or overbroad requests

Pospo may reject, seek clarification, request that it be narrowed, or challenge a request that appears invalid, unlawful, improperly served, outside the requester's authority, or overbroad. Where appropriate, Pospo may consult qualified external counsel. This does not mean that every request receives attorney review.

Data minimization

Pospo discloses only information that we reasonably believe we are legally required to disclose. We limit any disclosure to the account or workspace, date range, and data categories covered by valid legal process.

Pospo does not voluntarily disclose unrelated workspace data, passwords, application secrets, or other information outside the valid scope of a request.

Preservation and disclosure

A valid preservation request may cause Pospo to preserve relevant records while the request is evaluated. Preservation does not by itself authorize disclosure unless applicable law provides otherwise. A separate valid legal basis may be required before preserved records are disclosed.

Emergency requests

Pospo independently authenticates and evaluates an emergency request based on the stated emergency, claimed imminent risk, requester's authority, specificity, and applicable law. An emergency label does not remove the need for review. We do not publish the security procedures used to authenticate these requests.

User notice

Where legally permitted and appropriate, Pospo may notify affected users of a request. Notice may be delayed or withheld where prohibited by law or court order, or where notice could create a risk of harm, compromise security, or conflict with another lawful restriction.

Documentation and security

Pospo documents requests received, validation steps, decisions, scope, disclosures, and the responsible reviewers. Pospo also records its response and legal reasoning. Any disclosure is sent through an appropriately secure channel. We do not publish internal verification procedures, security credentials, or sensitive system details.
